duke is a medical building on the upper east duke campus. given the parameter to respond to duke's collegiate gothic campus, duke represents an interpretation of the campus' principles manifested into a contemporary language. the building is a structural exo-skeleton system [with no interior columns] that balances its massing between a singular form and three bays.
